Hi and welcome to our Blog! We are Byrne’s Restaurant and Accommodation located in beautiful Ennistymon, Co. Clare, Ireland – home to traditional Irish shop fronts, the local farmer’s market, a big waterfall and lots and lots of great traditional Irish pubs, (as painted by local artist Sheena Meagher, below).
We have been running the family business in Ennistymon since 1998 and have decided to start this blog to share some recipes, photos, local news, general thoughts on the business and of course to hear what people think about food, their holidays in Ireland and any recipes they may like to share with us!! You will be hearing from Mary (the Mom) about some recipes, ingredients, herb growing as well as a little bit of gardening and flower arranging. You will be hearing from Richard (the Dad) about wine, restaurant design and general wise musings on everything and anything. Conor (the Son) will be going on about any other bits and pieces as we continue our mission to provide some great quality, homemade, genuine family run hospitality.

To the right is one of our favourite of the town's pubs, Cooley's, full of traditional music, good guinness, great service AND just a stone's throw away from Byrne's, perfect for a pre or after dinner drink.
